Data Center Infrastructure Monitoring/Management with LoRa™
The L-DCIM is a wireless gateway designed for Internet of Things (IoT) uses and allows for easy monitoring and management of sensors. The gateway is supported with AKCPro Server monitoring software and LoRa radio technology for long range bi-directional communication. The gateway supports up to 100 wireless LoRa sensors or a total of 1,000 data points and includes Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and two USB inputs.
LoRa™ Radio
With the LoRa technology the device is able to maximize distance and signal penetration in low-signal areas such as basements and elevator shafts. It offers real-time broadcast of sensor status as well as graph data as frequent as every 10 seconds. Other advantages of LoRa radio technology includes:
- Increased battery life
- Frequent broadcasting
- “Listen before talk” to minimize packet collisions
- Utilizes the shortest spreading factor
- Individually tuned external antennas
- Save on cabling and installation costs
- Fewer base units and IP addresses
AKCPro Server Monitory Platform
The AKCPro server platform is a world-class software that supports monitoring of all network enabled devices such as intelligent PDU’s, UPS’s, or CRAC units. The platform offers customized desktop interface as well as wireless access with a dedicated tablet view. This allows a technician to remotely monitor sensors in real-time while walking the center.
The AKCPro server includes:
- Drill Down Mapping
- Drawing Program to Create Floorplans
- Graphing
- Custom Dashboards
- Tablet User Interface
- Synchronization of Sensors with video
Common Applications Include:
- Data Centers
- Pharmaceuticals
- Hospitals
